The attendees came from numerous conservative sites and right-of-center publications, including National Review, Daily Caller, American Spectator, Washington Examiner, Right Wing News, Powerline, Townhall, Ace of Spades, RiehlWorldView, White House Dossier, and PJ Media. RNC chairman Reince Preibus also attended.
Details of the Romney meeting did not previously leak out because of the off-the-record ground rules. So even though there were as many as 60 writers at the Capitol Hill Club gathering, along with others calling in by phone, they weren't permitted to cover. But some attendees, in conversations with The Huffington Post, described generally what they took away from the private meeting.
"The basic message I got is the primary's over and we want you on our side and working with the campaign," said one attendee. Another described the meeting as "sort of an olive branch to conservative media."
Yeah, when you're not right-wing enough for the loonies, then I guess you have to try to sell it to the FauxNews crowd... But the question is, will Rush Limbaugh buy it? You know the rest are shaking in their boots if it's not blessed by Limbaugh...
Think the conservative radio hosts actually prefer Obama in power for four more years? It makes for an easier radio show attacking Barack and his administration than having to defend Romney for either not being conservative enough or being too conservative.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
