UPDATE 1/20/12: In response to inquiries by concerned citizens, I double-checked with Pinal County Elections Director Steve Kizer today, and he confirmed that Ready is a registered Democrat in that jurisdiction.

The distraction game the "progressives" have to play this election cycle is exactly that - an attempt to deflect. Doesn't matter that Hasan is a Democrat or Ready was a Republican in the wake of their going on a murderous shooting spree. Doesn't matter that Pierce is playing the same card of "passing acquaintance" that Obama played 4 years ago. We all know that Pierce had more than a passing acquaintance with Ready and we all know that Bill Ayers was more to Obama than one of his neighbors and that Obama heard and agreed with the Black Liberation Theology preached from Jeremiah Wright's pulpit. No one with the common sense God gave a fence post believes Pierce or Obama when they voice protestations to the contrary, do they?

Cool....if I register as a Republican will you call me a conservative. I think who his friends are and the causes he has spoken out about, like immigration and white supremacy, are more indicative of what ideology he follows than the party he registered for to get on the ballot. In AZ a lot of republicans will run as democrats because they can't win the Republican primary. Democrats rarely have strong candidates running in conservative counties.
