Weary warriors favor Obama over Romney, poll shows Military concerns lag behind economic and domestic issues, but could jump to fore as presidential race continues
Looks like the returning military guys have had enough of the neo-cons "never met a war they didn't like" policy. The automatic "gimme" of military vets supporting the hawks in the GOP is coming to an end.
So if veterans are now supporting Dems, will states do a better job getting them their ballots in a timely manner? I hope so.
BTW, LJ, do you know what a neo-con actually is? A liberal who became a conservative. So another term that is thrown around by people who don't know what it means. Possibly use warhawk instead?

This is my working definition of a neo-con, and includes wanting to impose America-style democracy on other peoples, and having never met a war they didn't like.
I will not debate the nuances and subtle differences of your interpretation of it, any more than I will debate my take on "teabaggers", and all of the extremism and insanity that it implies.
And we have/had alot of members either still serving or home that would NOT vote for the current admin and Boss if they were the only ones on the ballot.

So you could say a neo-con is a liberal who has "evolved" and "progressed" to finally understand what common sense means.
Why are there so few neo-libs?
As for the topic, I'm sure Obama will get the military black vote since they share the same skin tone, but I doubt the rest will be trending toward Obama.... based on his never ending need to give himself credit for the brave actions of those who take the real risks.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
We know Romney's hasn't... He's obviously "too young to understand foreign policy", since he still thinks the "Soviets" (which haven't existed since 1991), are our "biggest threat."
He's FOR intervention in Syria, but thinks intervening in Libya with nothing more than air support and no boots on the ground was a mistake."
But that's okay... It's only 2pm... He's got plenty of time today to flip-flop...
OR wait, Obama and Ms. Clinton can't be neo-cons so they would prefer Libya, Syria, & Egypt to replace their dictators with a new dictator, right? Or something other than a American style democracy? Maybe a Iranian style theocracy? Good to know that they aren't neo-con's.
