Chicago politics at it's best! Too bad Christie isn't the nominee....we could have Chicago politics vs. NJ Politics...

Perhaps you would be so kind as to point out the "good" things that posters here have said about their favored nominee, Etch a Sketch Romney?

He hasn't been president yet, and as we all know, posturing before you are in office, vs. what you actually do in office are 2 different things. Obama has done nothing good, he doesn't deserve a 2nd term regardless. Since Hillary chicken'd out, we are left with Romney. He talks good about what he plans, but nobody knows till he is in office, and what he follows thru on. He actually knows what a budget is...that is one good thing about him!

Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!

Why are you so desperate to hide from the Mittster's record?

So a candidate who has a long record in business and as governor should not be held accountable for his record? So you plan on voting on someone without considering his background? Or is it simply hypocrisy in going after Democrats for criticizing Mitt while you refuse to support him?

I know what he has SAID he will do. Will he, I don't know. What I do know, is this. Obama has been an utter failure. I prefer exactly what we know of Romney as governor, and successful at his business. You may not like the business he did, but he was successful doing the job he was hired to do. He also knows what a budget is.

Is he the perfect conservative candidate...far from it. I think he will end up being way to moderate for me, and I'm concerned if we don't get a true leader in, we may not make it another 4 yrs. But we don't get to choose anymore. It is Romney or Obama. We KNOW Obama is horrible. Romney may be, may not be. At least we have a shot if he wins, and follows thru on getting a grip on our budget.

My point was that it is hypocritical to criticize Obama supporter's for going after Romney, while conservatives have nothing good to say about their candidate.

Oh, there's quite a few good things to say about Romney. One of them is that in the unlikely event that PPACA survives the challenge it faces in the Supreme Court that Romney has promised to issue waivers from all of its provisions and not implement it. That might only grant us a 4 to 8 year breather, but that time delay will also provide an opportunity to repeal the entire legislation and strike it from the books. That one issue alone makes Romney the more attractive candidate to many independents who oppose that particular piece of legislation.

Obama and the Democrats better figure out soon that bringing Bush into this election cycle only enhances the view that Obama is inept. Running against a candidate that wasn't on the ballot the last time may have worked, but trying to run against a candidate that not only isn't on the ballot but hasn't held elected office for four years now isn't a winning strategy this time around.

Looks like The GOP's War on Women campaign that the Left is trying to create hasn't produced results. If Obama can not deliver the women to the voting booth, the Dems will lose even more Senators and Congressmen.

The point I was making with Romney is that people say they are willing to vote for him, but are they willing to donate money and campaign for him. And will they even bother making the extra effort to go out and actually vote for the man. The enthusiasm gap?

I don't know what you've been smoking, but the "Assault on Women" is driving the women away from the GOP in droves, and right now the moronic garbage being waged on them in the states has them currently at an 80% Obama approval rate...

Deal with it...

Which is why the recent NYT/CBS poll shows that Romney is now ahead of Obama with women voters, right?

Did I mention that the poll oversampled registered Democrats and Obama is still losing to Romney with women?

New York Times & CBS aren't exactly righty pollsters.

LJ,
Where are you getting your 80% Obama approval numbers from women? Nancy Pelosi's district or Candyland?
