American's Personal Financial Comfort Level?

Per Gallup has now dropped to the lowest level in a decade since they started measuring it. 39% say they don't have enough money to live comfortably. Up from 34% a year ago and 24% in 2002. Taken from The Week. Looks like America can't "afford" four more years of Obama.

Isn't it amazing that Obama managed to cause all this in 3 years as president. We all know that he started with a robust economy and then sent it down hill. If we had elected a Republican history tells us that if they were given such a roaring economy they would make it even better...right?

Oh wait....Bush was given a good economy, and he must have improved it...didn't he? All this whining about what Obama was unable to accomplish in 3+ years rings pretty hollow when viewed in the light of the lack of complaints about the 8 years that preceded him. The conservatives here have been feasting on sour grapes since 2008 and it seems to have pickled their brains.

Yeah, who else..(but a Republican)...could start with a surplus and run up $5 Trillion in debt in 8 years? And that darn Obama couldn't turn it around in 3 years... Hrrrumph...

Not only has Obama been unable to turn it around, it has become worse. But you keep grasping. If it was so bad under "W", why did more people think they had the money to get by?

Simple, it hadn't hit bottom till right before he left office. Too bad he couldn't have 4 more years, he could have turned the USA into a 3rd world country. But there is still hope, Mitt might win and we WILL be a 3rd world country with a wealthy class and the poor. Kiss the middle class goodby.

I don't know, pawn brokers, loan sharks, and banks all seem to be doing very well. Meanwhile record numbers of Americans are collecting food stamps and every other US Gubment entitlement they come close to qualifying for. What is everyone complaining about? They are getting what Barry feels they deserve for the time it took to stand in line, fill out some forms, and wait for the cash and benefits to arrive on the doorsteps of their Federally provided housing.

What is Obama doing to turn the economy around? Well, he did visit the girls on "The View" for the 4th time! And they asked him such probing questions like "Is there turbulence on Air Force One?"
Yes, clearly a man who knows how to get legislation passed. Instead of meeting with Congress, he is on late night TV with Jimmy Fallon. Why late night TV, because he knows the voters who don't have jobs to wake up to in the morning are watching.

Same deal with the View, connect with the people who are unemployed and home in the morning, a expanding voter base under the current administration.

Fred, you forgot the flip flop on gay marriage. That being said, it seems to me like Barry is focusing on everything but the economy because he needs everyone to be distracted by all of these other issues. By pandering to the special interest groups maybe he can keep everyone preoccupied while blaming the previous administration for the failure of the current economy. The economy is a problem Barry and his administration made worse with the first stimulus and plans to repeat the same mistake again.

If you cut off your own toe with a chainsaw the first time out don't you think it might be smart to stay away from chainsaws until you understand how to use them better? Nah, fire that sucker up and do the exact same thing again and then blame everyone else for you cutting a second toe off with a chainsaw. Clearly it has to be someone else's fault!

Yes, Bush was so powerful that he destroyed the entire American economy and Obama is so weak, he can't reduce unemployment in 3 years. When will you start expecting something from the man? 2017?
