Well... I'd like a president that understands managing money, how the real world works. You just agreed that Obama doesn't understand managing money. Well... I'd like a president that understands budgets, how the real world works. You just agreed that Obama doesn't understand budgeting. Well... I'd like a president that understands firing, which speaks to a person who realizes when someone is not doing their job (Eric Holder comes to mind). You just agreed that Obama doesn't understand firing. Well... I'd like a president that understands hiring, vetting, how to judge the character and qualifications of his personal (Van Jones comes to mind). You just agreed that Obama doesn't understand hiring.

My goodness... you just agreed that Obama is lacking in these skills. What kind of president do you want?

I would not have wanted Henry Ford ( great biz man) as prez. Or Bill Gates, or Steve Jobs, or , or, or, or.
Ross Perot was a amazing entrepreneur and he could not come close.
All that said, my real point was that I am looking at Romney from his record as gov. not too much before that.

I'll post what I sent you in a PM (minus any personal data).

Well jmc... we just don't see eye to eye about business. The Federal Government destroyed my lively hood after giving them 15 years of my time... including "destroying" a marriage, access to many friends (maybe they weren't really friends, well they were friendly) and it's taken me 7 years to get out of that hole. Now on the flip side, I've enjoyed the challenge and it's taught me once again that anyone can do anything and get anything done as long as they get off their ass and work for it, but I certainly don't want to see a country full of entitlement babies who are going to live off my hard work.

I'm a grunt jmc, a hard working grunt. I've had my 15 minutes of fame 5 times, they were fun and now they are gone. I have a comfortable fortune 4 times, it was fun but now it's gone. I don't expect anything from anyone, never did and never will and especially expecting anything from the government and Obama wants to give it all away... to the unions, the entitlement whores and he wants to "even" the playing field on the backs of people like me. The rich don't have the combined funds to run this country for a year, if Obama gets everything he wants, it's going to come from folks like me, like you. I like to share my spoils with my fellow men/woman, on my terms.

Tell me one country, anywhere where the rich really gives their "fair share?" It doesn't happen. Every new Social Democracy or Communist government always started out with high ideals, and with in 20 or 30 years a nouveau rich evolved (actually old money which remained hidden until the opportune time) and the those governments became mixtures of plutocracies, kleptocracy and autocrats. I don't want to live like that. I want to at least have the chance to fight... remember I'm a grunt. Think about it.

Promise last post for today
We are all grunts, some blame the poor and the government.
Some blame the rich and the government.
Our choice. seems pretty simple to me.

I read that as twinny would rather the government take his money and give it to the rich than take his money and use it to create jobs, improve education, healthcare, infrastructure, and give opportunities to those who may need it. Either way they will take your money, what they accomplish with that money is up to all of us in the voting booth.

And you're ok with them taking your money?

Who get the most contributions from equity firms?

From January 1, 2007 - June 30, 2011, PACs and individuals connected to Private Equity and Investment Firm interest groups have given over $17 million to lawmakers serving since the 109th Congress.

In that time period, Democrats have enjoyed a significant advantage, taking in $10,871,919, while their Republican counterparts received $6,553,793. Of the Democrats' total, Barack Obama accounts for $1,921,490 while his 2008 Republican opponent for the White House, Sen. John McCain, has accepted $1,246,575.

Year Republican Democrat Grand Total
2007 $1,155,000 $3,533,265 $4,688,265

2008 $1,914,436 $2,622,166 $4,536,602

2009 $774,958 $2,086,534 $2,861,492

2010 $1,899,832 $1,656,053 $3,555,885

2011 $809,567 $973,901 $1,783,468

Grand Totals $6,553,793 - $10,871,919 - $17,425,712

Looks like the political parties and individual congress critters take a nice piece of change from equity firms.

Yes. I am grateful to live in this wonderful country and appreciate what those who came before me worked for, sacrificed, served and died for to make this country great. Yes....I am willing to pay my taxes so that future generations can also enjoy what this country has to offer. You view it as taking your money, like you have gotten nothing in return? There is no place on earth like this United States....and it is worth every penny I have paid in taxes over my lifetime, there is no place else I want to be.

I pay my taxes religiously. But... you have no problem having them take your money for ill run programs, waste, fraud and abuse? For hustlers who willfully cheat the systems, for big business that intentionally cheat the system. And I could go on but you get the idea.

But liberals seem ready to simply tax more and more without oversight. Any program that fits your ideology is tops on your lists, without any care for the impact it may have on the future, how much it will cost, is it really worthwhile, and how can it be prevents from being scammed.

You don't even want a simple system in place to make sure any voter is legal and not scamming the system. I want to trust you with MONEY... no way... and when the money finally runs out... you find yourself a slave to the government... how long to your think it will take before the RICH and the overtaxed companies give up and out... and the bill is going to come due to your grandchildren... and your little socialistic paradise will become a workers nightmare.

:yeahthat: Agree 100%...archer doesn't seem to realize government employees/politicians work for us and it's insane to juust blindly trust them to spend OUR money wisely.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
