Investors....those very people who think it is Republicans that lift the stock market when actually democrats do that. As someone who is retired, living off investments, we are certainly better off today than we were in 2008.

Gripe as you may about President Obama and the economy, he’s been good for stocks. And if history is a guide, he’ll be just as good if re-elected. Dozens of research papers have concluded that the stock market performs noticeably better during Democratic administrations than it does during Republican ones.

...based on past performance...can get you in a lot of trouble, the stock market has made a pretty good comeback, to the Clinton years, but it has been a lost decade for many investors. And really bad for people who are savers, earning 0.0% interest on your accounts. Actually a net withdrawl from seniors who lost billions on home values, investments, etc.

I'll deal with the facts as we see them happening on a weekly basis... the employment numbers, the stock market (wee Facebook sucking)... had cold figures of what is happening NOW. You can throw all the forecasts and charts and looking at the "big picture" as you want, you can refute in the book facts and figures.

Nice attempt at diversion. No... you want to talk about the hard cold facts... the NOW.

The FACT is.....I am better off today than I was the day before Obama took office. What about that don't you understand?

Well.. goody for you. You're retired... in Arizona... and I can tell by your reply that you don't give two craps about how the rest of the country is faring. Ignore the facts. Ain't going to change them one iota. Typical liberal.

:rofl

Your attempt at deflection by personally attacking me for things I did not post is pathetic, but not surprising

You said it yourself "I am better off today than I was the day before Obama took office." You didn't post that? This thread topic was about the state of the economy, not the state of Archer.

When some conservatives here whine about not being able to have a discussion.....they need to stop and take a look at how these threads go. The question was asked......who has benefited from Obama's economy, I answered it. My answer was not about the status of the middle class, or the poor, nor the pain many still are experiencing from unemployment, underemployment, or anything other than to answer that simple question. So I answered it with a true statement.....then get personally attacked, really? this is how you think discussions should go?

They actual question was "I'm curious just WHO this current economic model is working for? Seriously, who?" That wasn't a question asking for an individuals opinion, it was a question that dovetailed nicely with the theme of this thread... the financial state of the nation. Who... what group of people, what companies, what financial models... not some self-centered egotistical "I'm my center of the universe" response.

Ahhh... If you had actually read my original response to that very question you would see that I answered with a general, not specific, group....investors. when questioned on that answer I elaborated on it with personal experience. That mr troll is how a discussion works. Unless you come along to attack the poster because you can't refute the post.
