First Lady Requires Photo ID for Her Book Signings; Voter ID Law-hating Media Fail to Note Obama Hypocrisy

By John Bates | June 06, 2012 | 13:11

On Friday, June 8th, those wishing to attend the event must purchase a copy of the First Lady's book at the location and leave it at the store, according to the employee. At the same time, customers must also submit their social security number and show an official photo ID (driver's license, passport) to a Secret Service agent, and they will be issued a wristband to the First Lady's event on June 12.( Emphasis added)

The liberal media, particularly Obama-boosting cable network MSNBC has done its best to attack voter ID laws as discriminatory at best and racist at worst.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Stop being a hypocrite. It's ok to require photo ID when the Donkey's say so but it's a racist crime that needs to be squashed if the Republicans propose a law be put in place to identify voters before they vote? Would you rather allow anyone who wants to vote to vote as many times as they want, when and where ever they want to?

Can I get a direct answer this time instead of some sort of deflection? It's either:

A) Requiring Photo ID to vote, attend a public function, or walk the streets of our nation should be the law.

- OR -

B) Requiring Photo ID to vote, attend a public function, or walk the streets of our nation is oppressive and racist. Photo ID laws are intended to ensure that minorities ae kept down and not allowed to flourish in the United States of America.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Damn just think how many illegals and poor people aren't going to the event.

IN NOVEMBER 2014, WE HAVE A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY TO CLEAN OUT THE ENTIRE HOUSE AND ONE-THIRD OF THE SENATE! DONT BLOW IT!

“When white man find land, Indians running it, no taxes, no debt, plenty buffalo, plenty beaver, clean water. Women did all the work, Medicine man free. Indian man spend all day hunting and fishing; all night having sex. Only whit man dumb enough to think he could improve system like that.” Indian Chief Two Eagles

Too stupid for even me to respond to. Could a" right" thinking person tell this idiot why he is an idiot. He won't listen to me. Waste of time and he can vote.

Just SOP around here....If you don't have anything to bash Obama with, go after his wife. Can't wait to see what they bash his children about tomorrow. If a liberal had posted about Laura Bush what Fred posted about Michelle Obama you would have heard the outrage from the righties from here to Texas. But insulting a Democrat's wife......that is just A-OK.

Hard to believe that the conservatives here cannot see the difference in requiring an ID to exercise your rights as a citizen, and asking for an ID to attend an event where the protection of the First Lady of the United States is a priority. There is no citizens right to attend a book signing, or any event, hosted by the First Lady, but there sure as hell is a right to vote. Next will the conservatives be asking for TSA like searches before we can vote?

jmc, you are really going out of your way to avoid answering simple a question. Are you afraid you'll tip your hand and we'll all find out your are a liberal? That much has been obvious for some time now.

Archer, as much as I try to ignore you, explain to me how posting factual information about what Michelle requires of people to attend a book signing is an insult or an attack? If I called Michelle fat, or said she was ugly you'd have an argument; try again and use some truth and logic this time.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
