"No Thanks" works every time if you are not interested. To some I say "thanks for volunteering". I have never met anyone there who hasn't been pleasant and respectful when I say no thanks.

IN NOVEMBER 2014, WE HAVE A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY TO CLEAN OUT THE ENTIRE HOUSE AND ONE-THIRD OF THE SENATE! DONT BLOW IT!

“When white man find land, Indians running it, no taxes, no debt, plenty buffalo, plenty beaver, clean water. Women did all the work, Medicine man free. Indian man spend all day hunting and fishing; all night having sex. Only whit man dumb enough to think he could improve system like that.” Indian Chief Two Eagles

I think some of these "entrepreneurs" do get a little annoying. The biggest thugs are those girl scouts- who strong armed me into buying 5 packs of cookies this last season.

But I guess it's better than doing it the way the lefties do- use the force and power of the government to incorporate charity into the tax system- so we have no opportunity to say "sorry but not today"- or "sorry- not this month".

If I have a bad month- and wind up short- the government always gets it's cut. No charity from them!

Shop at Target? I think they don't let charities sell stuff in front of the store.

Most of our tax dollars goes to a giant killing machine, the military. If I gotta pay for that you can pay for a little juice and milk for a poor single mother in our community

I usually say "no" and leave off the thanks because i'm hardly ever thankful that they asked me for my money..

Now VL, you know that isn't true. Over $2 Trillion is spent by the federal government annually on Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Welfare, Unemployment, SNAPS, SCHIPS, Head Start and all the rest of the social charity programs compared to roughly $670 Billion for the Department of Defense. You are paying far more in taxes so that the federal government can be the central collection and distribution hub of the union's charity than you are for its common defense.

Wrong- You've been duped yet again Print Smith. Thier accounting tricks are all fully explained here

Doesn't matter anyway- I don't want to pay for any of it. I'm not afraid of anybody or any country and we have enough weapons to blow up the entire planet 80 times over, why do we need more? I wanna opt out and I want my tax money invested in my community....To help people

I guess that makes me evil

Public spending is never an investment... it's a deficit... plain and simple.

You and I may find agreement on something for the first time ever VL. I, too, wish for the majority of my tax dollars to be collected and spent by the level of government closest to me instead of the one which is the most distant and the least responsive. I would much rather have the majority of my tax dollars collected and spent in Park County than collected and spent by the federal government. I, too, think that the federal government should get the smallest share of my tax revenues instead of the largest.
