Maybe there should be a $100,000 "penalty" for every campaign lie told by a politician. We could have our own citizens court and jury, elected by the people!

Wow...We would have Romney tapping into his Cayman Islands and Swiss bank accounts to cover that ...

If it a "lie" if they moderate their position later that day?

Check with the Romney camp... They probably have more knowledge about that than anyone. He can not only change position later in the day, but sometimes in the same sentence.

But they're sure going to have a problem trying to find a way to dodge the bullet that RomneyCare & ObamaCare are the same plan--with the same kind of penalties...and that it's a rousing success in Mass....

Dang...Hard to pivot and flip-flop when your own plan is the basis for everything you're now trying to deny...

Fred,
It could be
$100,000 for lie convictions
$20,000 for flip flops
$10,000 for "mis-speaks"
$1000 for Joe Biden gaffes

Joe Biden should get a break since he is close to senile right now. The cranky grampa rule, right? Maybe McCain & Bob Dole too?

Eric Fehrnstrom, Mitt Romney Adviser: Individual Mandate Is A 'Penalty,' Not A 'Tax' (VIDEO)

Eric Fehrnstrom, a senior adviser to Mitt Romney, admitted Monday that he actually agrees with the Obama administration on something: the individual mandate in the Affordable Care Act is a "penalty" and not a "tax."

Since the Supreme Court upheld President Barack Obama's health care law but ruled that its mandate is a tax, Republicans have criticized him for imposing a massive tax on the American public.

The Romney campaign joined in this line of attack, with an adviser telling The Huffington Post's Jon Ward that the Supreme Court's ruling would help them politically.

"Frankly, to be able to tell you your taxes have been raised by this bill and you didn't know that, as opposed to trying to explain Congress's powers under the commerce clause, it's easier," the Romney adviser said, referencing the issue of the law's constitutionality.

But in a Monday interview on MSNBC's "The Daily Rundown," Fehrnstrom contradicted this statement, agreeing with the Obama administration that the mandate is a "penalty" on individuals who do not purchase insurance -- not a tax.

Well, there you have it...Straight from the surrogate's Etch-a-Sketch mouth... It's NOT A TAX...IT'S A PENALTY... Dang, what are you gonna do when you can't even get your own spokesman on-board with the outrage-of-the-day talking-points?

There you have it... the article answered the question... from the article quoted above... (in Lady Jazzer outrage font) "Since the Supreme Court upheld President Barack Obama's health care law but ruled that its mandate is a tax... [/b][/i]" Moderators... close the thread.

Yes he would and Obama would be broke in less than a month.

Then we could throw them both out the window and start fresh.
