None of this would have been necessary if Arlen hadn't decided to turn an amusing thread into an attack on all liberals. So tell me, mtntrekker, why you didn't call him out on that post.

Never mind....it doesn't matter. That's just how business is done around here.

Shut up and eat your peas!

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

How about the more politically correct "give whirled peas a chance."

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

archer wrote: How arrogant of you, Arlen, to tell us liberals what we believe. You are wrong, of course, but it is entertaining to watch you embarrass yourself.

I'm sitting here watching the fireworks over our nation's Capitol on TV and it occurs to me that you just don't have any idea what this country is all about. I'll give you a clue....it isn't the hateful and demeaning attitude you exhibit towards your fellow Americans.

archer, I make no assumtions whatsoever of what liberals believe. Liberals freely tell everyone what they believe.

Hateful and demeaning? Please read the little snip of one of your posts that is included in my signature. I will assure you that I did not think that you were aiming that quip of yours at me, singularly, but it reveals your arrogant conceit of superiority to your fellow Americans. All of your verbal squirming cannot erase one iota of that quote.

And our country is not about fireworks, archer. Our country was founded so that commerce and free enterprise could operate free from the choking rule of government, aristocracy, and kings. Commerce and free enterprise, archer. And it succeeded beyond the founders' wildest dreams. And we pulled the rest of the world up with us in commerce and technology. We pulled the world up out of the backward system that still exists in some parts of the world today, where women wear veils and cannot conduct commerce, or post on forums, or drive cars, or dispute the word of a man. Think of it, archer. The U.S. is nothing of which to be ashamed or for which to apologize.

What a sad post.....that on this day, when we stop our daily lives to celebrate and give thanks for the birth of this great nation.....you can only scoff at those who do so. Please point to any post of mine where I have indicated that I am ashamed of this country or apologized for it. You can't. Your dishonesty knows no bounds.....so have a nice night Arlen, and Happy 4th of July even if you don't think it is worth celebrating, I do.

I guess I missed the part where the founders of this country wanted a nation of the corporations, by the corporations and for the corporations.....we are a nation of PEOPLE.....with maybe one exception....I don't know what the hell you are. This will make you happy.....I'm done responding to you.....you can have your own little love fest with the other conservatives who may, or may not, share your disdain for the birth of our nation, and those who had the vision to make it great.

"NORTHFIELD, OH—Sources at the Gregson-Turner Paper Co. confirmed that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney spent the vast majority of his visit to the company's Ohio-based factory Tuesday yelling at employees to work harder.

Romney, who said the stop was an essential part of his tour of America's manufacturing sector, arrived at the facility at approximately 10 a.m. and within minutes began mercilessly hounding workers throughout the plant to "get their acts together" and "start pounding out some paper, c'mon.""

What a bastard.
