I would pick any non-flaming liberal off the street over Obama at this point so Mitt actually looks pretty damn good right now.

There are thousands of Obama bashing threads in this forum, I was wanting to know if it was possible for conservatives to articulate reasons why Mitt is uniquely qualified to lead this country other than that he is not Obama.

And I gave you a long list above... which you totally ignored. You don't really want an honest answer to your thread topic question.

I did respond and complimented you on your cut and paste, and that you did point out his frequent flip flops on important issues. How could be that be "totally ignored"?

Because he is better than Federico Pena, a vulture capitalist who is Obama's national co-chair.

Pena does not "work" for them, he is a partner.
Do you think that Romney does not have some heartwarming success stories such as those that you extol about Pena? Or are you wearing blinders?

You mention Birds Eye Foods. In 2002, Vestar acquired frozen food giant BirdsEye Foods. Roughly four years later, Vestar laid off approximately 500 workers at BirdsEye. "Some of them were employed at Birdseye for 15 to 30 years," according to KGO Ch. 7 in San Fransisco.

How about Del Monte? In March of 2011, Vestar acquired 100% of Del Monte Foods through a leveraged buyout. Just a few months ago, Del Monte announced the closure of a plant in Kingsburg, Califoria, effectively slashing 1,000 jobs. "I am extraordinarily disappointed by Del Monte to make this decision," Kingsburg Mayor Bruce Blayney told the Kingsburg Recorder. "This is a major blow to the local economy."

Now don't tell me you were being even-handed about this vulture capitalist attack of Obama against Romney. Obama's own man, Pena, is a vulture capitalist.

Hey Einstein, I don't know of any companies that buy other companies that don't try to bring up the their earning ratio by trimming the fat. They certainly don't try to make the companies they buy have lower profits.

And of course a mayor is going to be upset a plant is closing in his city. If it were profitable for the company, they wouldn't have closed it.

raees, that is exactly the point! Romney is NOT a vulture capitalist as claimed by Democrats, Obama, and liberals everywhere.
But I see that you fair-minded liberals did not rush to the defense of Romney from your sense of 'fair play'.and justice. I am ashamed of you.

So, let's roast Obama in his own hypocrisy.

Yet another conservative unable to articulate reasons why Mitt is uniquely qualified to be POTUS other than invoking an anti-Obama rant.

That makes Obama the better man? Really? That's the reason that you support him? That is stupid.

There are a lot of reasons people choose a candidate, some pick him only because of the initial after his name, R, D, G, or L.

But a lot of them pick one guy because they hate the other guy worse. Personally I don't hate Obama, I think he has good intentions and has only been slightly corrupted by the beltway. I just don't think he has a clue on what to do to fix things. And frankly, economic issues bore him. He would rather play drone war and give speeches before adoring fans.

Romney is not uniquely qualified to be president, but I think he is qualified. He's made decisions on how to fix or scrap failing companies. He's got experience in finding what's good and bad about an organization - keeping the good and eliminating the bad. You may not agree with all his methods, and neither do I, but it's experience that's needed in the federal government right now.
