Biden Addresses Empty Seats at NAACP Convention

The media was quick to point out that Mitt Romney was booed at the NAACP convention yesterday (or were they saying “Boo-urns?”), but will they acknowledge that no one was there to hear Joe Biden’s address? CBS News and National Journal campaign reporter Rodney Hawkins tweeted that “minutes before” Joe Biden’s speech at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston “seats are pretty empty.” He provided the visual above.

The NAACP invites both presidential candidates to their convention every election year; in 2008, both Barack Obama and John McCain attended. This year, President Obama declined the invitation. There has been much speculation as to why President Obama chose to opt out, especially considering the convention’s theme: “Your Power, Your Decision – VOTE.” Apparently the convention-goers were hardly clamoring to hear his surrogate’s speech.

Not So Breitbart: Biden Does NOT Address Empty Seats, Nor Jeremiah Wright

The picture above shows a packed house at the NAACP conference for the appearance by Vice-President Joe Biden. The speech was well received with the crowd even booed when he announced that he was wrapping up.

Nevertheless, the Breitbrats found a photo that was tweeted prior to Biden’s arrival and decided to post that with an article that said that “Biden Addresses Empty Seats at NAACP Convention.” Obviously, that was not true. The larger photo of an enthusiastic crowd was taken by a an actual reporter from Reuters. Not surprisingly, the mysterious editors at Fox Nation (who Fox refuses to identify) re-posted the Breibrat item as if it were certifiable news.

In addition to the false assertion of an empty hall, the Breitbrats sought to portray their fabricated story as a “misstep for a presidential campaign unable to find its footing.”

As usual it's a lie because you don't like the source. Keep inhaling the unicorn farts.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Nooo, it's because the source is wrong. And you won't even admit it when presented with the facts.

That says something about what kind of person you are.

What else do you expect from the Toad and his toadies. The actual truth can't justify their "outrages".

I'm a very bad person, go ahead and call me a liar. You might even hurt my feeling (I only have one left). What does that have to do with the veracity of your contradictory post? You have no more proof than I do and you know it.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

I don't think you are a bad person, but merely pathetic and typical of the conservatives here.

your breitbart post, if even a simple search for veracity would have found it to be a lie, is typical of the conservatives here who post their cut and pasts without even the least bit attempt at veracity of the post. It simply points out the lack of intellectual curiosity on the part of conservatives and will go to great lengths to impugn the current president based on lies.

There are numerous links on the net showing the crowd cheering Biden on his speech, where he touched on issues concerning them, as opposed to the Mutt who talked down to them. He was actually booed when he ended his speech because they wanted more.

Listen and watch to see if he was talking to an empty house. You continually post cut and paste lies without verifying their truthiness and you expect people to find you credible. Outside your toadies, you are a joke.

I stand behind my post on Mutt being listed as CEO of Bain up until 2002. The facts have been verified.

And the fact that Toad and his Toadies continually post lies and unverified hit-pieces has also been verified.

Carry on, Toad....
