But I forget - it's time to play "Gotcha" - election is less than 4 months away. Time to start looking for every misspoken comment either candidate makes so we can toss them back and forth at each other.

This is coming from someone who believes that the current presidency is unconstitutional based on a 21 year old publicity document by someone who admits it was a mistake? :)

Nah, I don't think the current presidency is constitutional because I think the child of an alien and a citizen would be a US national, not a natural born citizen. I don't think that Rubio can join the Republican ticket in the #2 slot for the same reason. However, "interpretations" being what they are, what I believe to be the case in either case will have to wait for a Court more interested in following the Constitution than they are adhering to the political ideology of the person responsible for them being on the court or preventing stare decisis from overturning decisions which strayed from the Constitution regardless of how long ago the decision was made or how many additional decisions rest on the first of the flawed ones.

With regards to Obama's author's biography - that is something that I point to as being evidence of Obama being the original "birther" claiming that Obama was born in Kenya and not Hawaii. We all knew that it had to come from somewhere, and now, 4 years later and no thanks to any of the major media outlets, we know why people were under the impression that the man wasn't born in Hawaii originally.

My statement has, and continues to be, that I remain uncertain of where the man was born. I'd like it a lot if an actual forensic document examiner or ten were given access to the original document so they could examine it for signs of tampering or forgery. Given the importance of the position and the requirements laid out in the Constitution, I don't believe that it's too much to ask be done when the question is raised. I'd like to have a greater comfort level than I do that the Constitution is being followed.

I actually happen to believe that it is the power of the two political parties themselves, which Washington warned us of in his farewell address, that is the source of the problems and the corruption. I'd much prefer to restrict the power of the parties so that the representatives who are elected by the people are actually representatives of the people once again instead of representatives of their respective parties - at all levels of government.

Know what would be great? A law which said that every political ad had to be first screened by a "non-partisan" (like such a thing actually exits) committee and rated on the Pinocchio scale that would have to always be prominently displayed at the beginning of the ad. If we can make cigarette manufacturers print a warning on their products, we ought to be able to make the politicians and the 527's do the same, right?

Back to the OP, I bet the Romney campaign is pretty nervous about his trip to Europe, too.
