My kids go to southlands and Arapahoe Crossings and very occasionally, the Century 16 (the last time was a midnight showing when they could not get tickets at our theater) My son is a huge movie buff that goes almost once a week and they have gone to MANY midnight showings around here. I know he is not going to give up movies he loves them too much but I seriously doubt I am going to go to a theater around here for a long time.

Edited to add, I have never stepped into a Chuck E. Cheese since that one either. That stuff sticks in my mind.
I want to be really sensitive about this and we all know it is different when we are really close to a situation but does anyone know what they did in Emily's case? Do children still have classes in that room? No disrespect at all but am curious how they handled that.
We had race riots in my day 2 whites shot (lived) 2 blacks shot 1 died.
They neither tore down our school or the lunch room, and they didn't stop us from having guns in our cars etc.
Some kids were a little freaked about it afterward but got over it and then in a few years NO kid entering high school could even recall the actions that took place there.

The memorial would be to those who died, like the Columbine and OKC memorials. The criminal is not referenced or named. Much better than acting lIke nothing happened, IMO.
Don't tear down the whole building...tear out the two theaters where people were shot and turn it into a memorial for those that lost their lives and for those that were injured as well as the heroes (first responders, theater manager, etc.).

Who pays for the lost revenue on the property (forever)if it can't generate income?
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

I believe that it'll continue to generate revenue even if it isn't torn completely down...and it'll cost far less money to re-vamp those two theaters into a memorial (there has to be some renovations anyways) than to tear down the whole building. And as people are people, turning those two theaters into a memorial could entice some of the curious or possibly those that want to pay their respects.
