The tea party is cleaning house. Meanwhile the left is continuing to yap and snap at ankles.
"AUSTIN, Texas — Tea party darling Ted Cruz convincingly defeated the Republican establishment favorite, Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, in Texas' runoff election Tuesday, capturing the GOP nomination to replace retiring U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison as fiercely conservative voters shook one of America's reddest states to its political core.
The race had been closely watched nationally as one of the most-vivid contrasts between the GOP mainstream and grass-roots, conservative activists. But as results began to pour in, it turned out to be no contest. Cruz completed the upset by grabbing advantages in key cities around the state where Dewhurst had once enjoyed stronger name recognition, fundraising and political organization.................."
And if he steps in it, there is always the switch.
"“They all laughed at Christopher Columbus, when he said the world was round. They all laughed when Edison recorded sound.”
They all laughed at Ted Cruz, too, or many of them did, when he said he was going to run for the Senate. Oh, did the smart politicos chortle. “An act of hubris! Vanity! Arrogance! You’ll make a fool of yourself. Can’t you wait for some nice lesser office to open up? Does it have to be the U.S. Senate? You’ll finish fourth. You’ll finish third. You’ll finish fifth. Who do you think you are?”"..............................
I couldn't be happier that he won... The teabaggers are going to primary themselves out of existence. And yes, in Texas, he will probably win the General... And the more of these nutbags they put into office, (and reap the effects of), the sooner the sane people will realize the results of their handiwork.
Texas should be going purple, if not blue, in about 8-10 years. "Bat-sh*t-crazy" is not a platform.

Texas will go blue when California goes into the black... like that will ever happen. rofllol
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Isn't it funny how perspective is...you are such a far left, clinging to the edge leftie that anyone who is conservative is crazy.
At least the republicans are getting rid of old dead wood...something the democrats could use a big dose of.
Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!
