Romney campaign data mining your personal info

The information is in the database because you provided it to someone Raees. That's the only way the information about you got into a database to begin with. You told someone how much money you made in a year. You registered with a party, or failed to register with a party. You bought and registered a vehicle or obtained a driver's license. You bought certain products at the supermarket on a regular basis, you shopped for clothing at certain establishments. You use your credit cards and debit cards to pay for certain items. You've used certain coupons, traveled to specific places and stayed at specific hotels. When you dine out you go to certain restaurants.

All of this is information you are providing about yourself to others Raees. No one is doing if for you, you are doing it yourself. Not only that, when you agree to terms and conditions in order to be able to register yourself with a company to receive those discounts, visit their websites, or use their products and services, you are likely giving them the permission to share that information with others who might also be interested in doing business with you. When was the last time you actually read the 20 page document about terms and conditions that you've agreed to accept and abide by rather than simply clicking the box and then proceeding to the next screen? Like most everyone out there, you've likely never read a single one of them start to finish and even if you did it is so full of legaleze it would take you a year to figure out on your own what it is that you've agreed to anyway. As an aside, have you seen that various bots visit this site from time to time? What is it that you think these bots are doing here, adding their thoughts on the subject being discussed?

Ever registered using your middle name to see how many new lists you end up on? If not, you should try it sometime to see just how many times the information you have provided a business is sold or shared with another business. Sometimes one company markets to you and includes a coupon for another business along with the coupon for their own in order to reduce the cost of their marketing efforts. Use the coupon for the other business and you've just added yourself to another list. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Do you really have to play the professor in EVERY post?

Come on. Admit you aren't the expert on everything and give others a little credit for intelligence from time to time.

You'd make a horrible arbitrator.

When intelligence is demonstrated it receives credit. When partisan demagoguery is presented it is discredited with information, logic and reasoning. I'm not here to arbitrate Raees - collectivists are seldom interested in arbitration or compromise of any sort and will use whatever means necessary to achieve their desired end.
