Is the U.S. the greatest country in the world?

The only problem is they can't find enough institutions to teach junk-science, creationism, and moral-substitutes for knowledge and facts.

If anything is junk science- it's the modern day progressive moral compass.

It's the altruistic liberal pipe dream that societies problems can be solved through and with more government. That human nature can be modified by stealing wealth from the producers and redistributed in order to make the world "fair".

Talk about delusional disorders- that's the modern day liberal progressive.

I would disagree that we are not educated- unless you are referring to the liberal indoctrination that has occured over the last 3 generations.

I think this whole mess has been caused by a collectivist society & government creep that has taken place over the last 60 years. It was the classic frog in a pot of water senerio- we're just about cooked.

I do. Your reason I believe is more of a side effect of an uneducated society. Instead of rigorous teaching of students in academics to be in the top couple % in the world, we worry more about touchy feely stuff, and catering to a teachers union that couldn't care less about the students. They are just a means to an end.

Entitlements come about because the poor and minorities in this country are stuck in horrible public schools, because, again, the unions are all that matters.

If parents had the ability to have true school choice, I think our country would be in a vastly better position.

Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!

I agree with all of what you said- with this exception- it's not that they are uneducated- but rather that they have been educated with the wrong ideas. They have been educated with poisen idology.

Millions of immigrants flocked into this country from all over the world, many with very little education- but they achieved the American dream through hard work- they made it happen against the odds. Like members of my family, they didn't speak english, had little education and even less opportunity.

But they refused to accept victim status or government handouts, and became successful- many beyond what they had dreamed of.

It's not that that the generation today has too little education- but that they have been educated with the wrong ideas- the dangerous idology of liberalism.
