He is no intellectual giant to be sure, Dog butt
I fail to see what he said is relevant in any way to the birther issue.

You should apply the same logic you used to defend Biden
remember 'he didn't mean slavery because he didn't say slavery'?
it worked out for you well then :can't hear

It is most intriguing how you make things up when there is plenty of reality to support your views.

Why tell the truth when a perfectly good lie will do...

So when someone claims that the President is not an American, he is really saying that the President was born in America? I fail to follow your logic.

I suspect the logic escapes you because that is what fits your agenda

I read your link. He is not the sharpest tool to be sure butt I fail to see where he said the Prez was not an American.

is that a bit clearer?

I submit that you are too intellectually crippled by your unrepetant racism and irrational hatred for
anyone who does not share your political beliefs to look at this objectively.

So, again, I suggest you just stick to the truth as there is plenty of it to support your positions.
Of course it does not appear that credibility is of much concern to you
so perhaps it is a non-issue

You of course are an absolute liar in regard to you smear against me in regard to racism. Just because you belong to a party that is 94% white and largely angry white males does not give you license to call me a racist. Your cowardly remarks are indicative of your mindset and integrity.

As to the article, McConnell clearly indicated that President Obama was not an American.

A here we go again...
as a former Clinton Democrat now Independant I belong to no party.
I vote for what I feel is best for the country not strictly along party lines.
I think for myself and do not need, nor desire, to be led by the
political nose by any candidate (unlike like so many others).

and face it

Nice deflection...But reporting a burning cross in your neighbor's yard doesn't make one a racist...Burning the cross does.

Fuck you! You are a coward, posting smears with no factual documentation, just to be an ass, which of course you are. I was not talking about your political party, I was referring to your other party, the one with the white robes.

If you have any credible evidence of my "racism", then show it, otherwise you are being shown for the coward and ugly person that you are.

It's unnecessary personal judgments like this that drive people away from posting in the Courthouse. You want to slam another poster, take it to the Ring please.

I'm going to say it again: do not take everything so personally, because that's what I'm seeing here. Calling a poster racist based on the words they type on an online forum is ridiculous, and taking the opinion of someone who doesn't even know you and let it upset you that much is an exercise in needless stress. I get it, I've been there, and I've walked away for a couple of hours. If you need to insult and go at it, that's what the Ring is for, otherwise, stick to the topic and leave the personal statements out of it. If we can't keep ourselves on track, this place is going to start getting a whole lot more moderated. :dislike:

Is there a link to a video of McConnell's remarks? I don't see in the article where he's making a link to Obama not being American, but I do completely disagree with his remarks about what this administration wants ("What this administration has in mind for America isn't a renewal, it's a great leveling out," McConnell said. "It wants the kind of government-imposed equality...") and the whole "'liberals don't think America is special" card. That's a rhetorical load of crap.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

McConnell questioned whether or not Obama's attitude is American.

Not his birth.

According the article, he managed to question the 'Americanism' of what Obama has in mind for the country "without trespassing into the outlandish realm of birtherism."

Meaning he did NOT question Obama's birth, as hard as it is for you to accept the fact that some of us conservatives don't give a rat's ass if Obama was born in a test tube on a space shuttle - we still don't think that his solutions are good for America.
