Everyone is a Fiscal Conservative. LOL

Everyone seems to claim they are a fiscal conservative. Is there anyone who isn't? What would they be called, a fiscal liberal? A care-free spender and borrower? I just don't get it, how can everyone be a fiscal conservative and we have $16T in debt. LOL :)

Serious and non-serious responses only please. And lots of name-calling.

Politicians aren't fiscal conservatives even when they say they are. And even most fiscal conservatives can find a sacred cow they want to increase. Mine is the space program.

There are a lot of scum bags who look over the landscape and say to themselves that if I win public office I become a rich power elite above the rule of law. I can do anything, say anything as long as there are enough morons who will reelect me. They are called democrats and establishment republicans.

I've been making this argument for years, but really it needs taken one step farther as there is one party that has insisted part of their identity is 'fiscal conservatism', but the facts of history show them to be the most fiscally irresponsible. Of course, many who identify with that party will get on here and scream and argue and call me names...I don't care...I don't even mind...sometimes I enjoy their insults (Critical...wake the hell up!)...nobody's changing anyone's mind here. All of us are pretty firmly rooted in what we believe. I'm just thankful ole Georgie forced a situation that made me finally say, "hmmmm...maybe I've been wrong about who's who all along". It was the nudge I needed to force me to swallow my own pride, evaluate the facts without bias, and come to a more educated decision about what each party represents and who I want to support.

Oh yeah, so and so's a lousy good for nothing.

I would guess if you asked those who have bought every Iphone available and are now waiting for the Iphone 5, the younger set, that you might find fewer fiscal conservatives.

Back at you you bat sh*t crazy SOB. Ok that was too much fun.

I'm thinking it is a useless vague term, it is a result but doesn't describe the methods. It really means balanced budgets with no deficits. So all states are fiscal conservatives since they generally can't run deficits.

So you could use different methods, less spending and/or more taxes. It also says nothing about overall government size, total budget, or what is in the budget, or growth rates... just that it's balanced. So what good is it to say you are a fiscal conservative? Show me the details! How?

BIRDBRAINS!

I am guessing you are referring to the republican party? Wake up and smell the roses, there is a third major party in town. It is called the tea party.

Being politically active and wanting to change things is great. Good for you!

You may interpret my comments however you choose...most here do exactly that anyways. I'm simply stating my opinion.
