FOOD DRIVE/FLU SHOTS AT CONIFER VFW BREAKFAST IN OCT

Folks our breakfast in Oct on the 21st will be a food drive and as of right now we have had an offer from Conifer Medical Center to come to the Breakfast and offer Flu shots at a discounted price. Veterans would be for 15.00 and all others for 20.00. We are working to make this happen and might even hopefully be able to give the shots to Veterans for free. The food drive is for non persibles for the holiday baskets. We do this every year. This year it will be 5 items per person (adult) and 3 items (under 12) to get a free all you can eat breakfast. The items we are looking for are those that would give a family a holiday meal on the table. The Conifer VFW has already taken care of getting the Turkeys. Asking help from the community to help us make those having hard times have a good holiday meal over Thanksgiving.

stuffing
box mash potatoes
can veggies
pumpkin pie mixes
various ingredients for the pies
seasonings
cooking pans(throw away style)
and any other non persible items that you can think of that would help out.

Nothing but good news. At the Oct 21 VFW breakfast, funding has been provided to allow Veterans to get their flu shots for free. All others will have a discounted rate. Conifer Medical Center will be doing this. Veterans only need provide some sort of document or proof of Veteran status. When getting the shot let them know and it is that simple. I belive all others will only be $20.00.

On the 21st of Oct, at our monthly VFW Breakfast, Conifer Medical Center has offered to give flu shots for 15.00 dollars to all up to age 65, over 65 its 30.00 dollars, all Veterans will get the shot for free. Funding is being provided by the Community Veterans Coalition. Time is 0730 to 1130

It always cracks me up when people go clear across the state to hunt only to come home and find them in the backyard.
