The Dem oversampling might actually prove true since most polling is still landline based and surveys seem to point out that Dems more than Republicans have only cell phones.

Where is the logic in that statement? If dems, more than republicans, have more cell phones than landlines, and most polling is landline based....wouldn't the Republicans be getting over polled?

The polls are oversampling Dems. So if they only are able to find 400 Dems they are saying they count as 450 voters for Obama. For the missing voters who don't have landllines.
