This is a lie because what Dog posted without a link (and LJ regurgitated) is full of errors and a fake quote.

Something the Dog Said wrote: Sherman adelson, who is currently under investigation for numerous activities including bribing foreign officials and laundering Mexican mafia drug money has pledged #100 million to Romney's campaign. He came clean in a NY Times interview on Monday saying hhe expects a "less aggressive" investigation if Romney is elected. Nice!

First of all, I already pointed he even got the guy's name wrong. It's Sheldon Adelson, not Sherman. An error, big deal, but certainly not "factual".

Second, there is no NY Times interview with him on Monday as claimed (the last NY Times articles I see are from August and earlier). Perhaps he means Politico?

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0912/81588.html

The fake quote is "less agressive" investigation if Romney is elected. Where did Adelson ever say that?

So much for "what I posted is all factual".

Adelson is a former Democrat contributor who switched to Republican.

Adelson said he had been fairly apolitical until a friend invited him to his first national political convention — the 1988 Democratic convention in Atlanta. “It wasn’t really a lot of fun because everywhere I went — in the coffee shop, walking down the hallway, going into an elevator — everybody was talking about what kind of job they’re going to get when Michael Dukakis became president,” he recalled. “It disgusted me.”

Then, he went to the 1992 Republican convention in Houston. “I didn’t hear a single word about what people were going to get,” he said. “They were dignified, well-behaved. I said to myself, ‘I don’t belong in that rowdy crowd down in Atlanta, the Democrats.’ I said, ‘That’s not really me.’ So, I guess I converted. … After I had given the Democrats $100,000, to fix the error of my ways, I gave the Republicans $100,000.”

In the interview with Political he never says he expects a "less agressive" investigation by Romney. He's mad at the Obama Justice Department because he feels they are leaking information to the press because he is a big Republican donor.

Adelson said a second Obama term would bring government “vilification of people that were against him.” He thinks he would be at the top of that list and contends that he already has been targeted for his political activity.

Adelson’s Las Vegas Sands Corp. is being scrutinized by federal investigators looking into possible money-laundering in Vegas, and possible violation of bribery laws by the company’s ventures in China, including four casinos in the gambling mecca of Macau. (Amazingly, 90 percent of the corporation’s revenue is now from Asia, including properties in Macau and Singapore.)

The country’s leading megadonor is irritated by the leaks. “When I see what’s happening to me and this company, about accusations that are unfounded, that kind of behavior … has to stop,” he said.

Adelson gave the interview in part to signal that he intends to fight back in increasingly visible ways. Articles about the investigations appeared last month on the front pages of The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. He maintains that after his family became heavily involved in the election, the government began leaking information about federal inquiries that involve old events, and with which the company has been cooperating.

The aim of the leaks, he argued, is “making me toxic so that they can make the argument to the Republicans, ‘This guy is toxic. Don’t do business with him. Don’t take his money.’ Not all government employees are leakers, but most of the leakers are government employees.”

Asked to response to Adelson’s comments, the Justice Department said it does not comment on, or confirm, investigations.

Spelling errors are one thing. Factual errors are another.

I pointed out the wrong name was not a big deal.

Dog said his post was factual, but it was not. That's worth pointing out. You regurgitated it after it had already been pointed out.

Other than that the main factual error was the fake quote. Again, where did he say "less agressive" investigation if Romney is elected? Fake quotes are certainly worth pointing out.

rofllol Guess not.

But you sucked me in. I thought Sherman sounded wrong.

I regurgitated it because it's true. Your spin doesn't change it.

Fake quotes? You mean like:

The Romney ad which "quoted" Obama as saying "If we talk about the economy, we'll lose". In reality it was Obama QUOTING the McCain Campaign, saying, "...my opponent's campaign announced earlier this month that they want to ‘turn the page’ on the discussion about our economy so they can spend the final weeks of this election attacking me instead," Obama said in the speech. "Sen. McCain's campaign actually said, and I quote, ‘If we keep talking about the economy, we're going to lose.’"

Well, yes, Walking Eagle, you would be an expert on "fake quotes"....

Your shiny objects of distraction from Obama's failures are not very shiny anymore dog... I doubt even the liberal media will do much with this weak outrage.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
