You know there is no link to that because Obama never said that. Nor has any liberal I have ever talked to....making money is good......paying your fair share of taxes, just like any other workin stiff does, is also good.......what is bad is having loopholes and special tax considerations that allow you to pay a much lower rate than the average American. No one wants to "punish" the wealthy, but we do want to avoid punishing the middle class in order to favor the wealthy.

.....and before you bring up the 47% who Romney claims are freeloading off the rest of us by not paying any taxes.....those with jobs DO pay taxes, both SS and medicare taxes.....sales taxes....property taxes......and a whole boatload of fees....and I bet those taxes take a higher percentage out of their income than they do out of the 1%ers.

Hardly...

Asking middle-class tax-payers to pay for tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires--(which is the only way the math adds up)--is hardly the same thing as saying, "According to Obama making money is BAD!"

So, I'll be waiting for that link.

But do rave on...

Obama "I do think at a certain point, you've made enough money".

Sounds to me like he is making a judgement call. I think he should butt out. Where would we be today if people like Jobs/Gates quit working when they had "enough" according to Obama.

The math doesn't work regardless. Taking all the $$ from rich people won't make a dent in our debt. Under Romney, "rich" people won't pay less.

Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!

In Obama's world, they aren't punishing the middle class, but making them pay for those roads and all that other infrastructure they need to build their businesses.

Replied by CinnamonGirl on topic I now know Mitt is going to win Colorado.
If the economy is doing good than everyone is doing well. Just get the damn economy going and quit worrying about what is 'fair'. The country was based on opportunity. And the millionaires billionaires thing is not true. and it does not matter. If everyone can make more money they can afford more taxes if they happen The tax conversation is stupid and an irrelevant dog and pony political show. Think about it, how smart is it to pay for something thinking it is a tax break but you still pay something for it to get the break. Same thing. The tax debate is a political show. All candidates know that they can't get re elected without saying "no new taxes".
