Ever hear of a "metaphor"?

Romney's aware that nobody knows what "communism now" or "al jazeera" or the "RT" (Russia Today News) PBS sponsered programs are- but they do know who Big Bird is.

He was making a point- that he would cut funding for PBS, and let them raise their own money without the taxpayer welfare that they currently recieve, especially when we are borrowing this money from China.

The point would not have been as effective had he said "Word Girl" or "Clifford the Big Red Dog".
