It's those"accomplishments" of Romney that make him highly suspect as a candidate for president. I don't think his first priority is doing what is best for the American people, or the country in general. It's all about Romney and what is best for him and his friends. He's on the ultimate ego trip.
For whatever reason, I liked Mervyn's and hated to see them go. Maybe it was because I don't like the malls that much and Mervyn's had a stand alone store nearby at the time.
But how do you blame this on venture capitalists? If Mervyn's had been doing well, they wouldn't of needed the money.
This venture/vulture capitalist thing is only because of politics and Romney. Whoever complained about them before?
I worked for regular companies several years. Then I decided to take a big risk and give up my safe job for a start-up funded by... oh my gosh... venture capitalists!
It was my choice and I got as informed as I could, but it was still a huge risk. Had it failed, I'd of only blamed myself. But it ended up doing pretty well for me, not that I won the lottery. That company was just as good an employer with the same benefits as the other established ones I worked for before. My risk was that I couldn't be sure if they'd survive. My main gain would of been in potential stock options if they ever went public, which did happen, but it was many years later.
Without venture capitalists, many companies in my field would of never existed and thousands of potential jobs lost. And far less innovation would of happened as well. So why do you guys hate them so much?
If you want a simple basic example of venture capitalists, watch "Shark Tank" on channel 7 on Fridays. I find it entertaining. Yes, the venture capitalists want a huge piece of the pie, but the companies need it and often both end up doing well. They are much smaller companies than mine was, but it's still the same idea.

One comes to mind: "Bin Laden is dead...And General Motors is Alive"... Insert standard deflection here: _
Woo hoo. Killing a retired terrorist and spending billions to bail out a company on the cusps of another bankruptcy. Which president would make these same calls? "W" for one.
