Media Fueled Romney Rebound?

Maybe I am just a world class cynic but anyone else think the press is trying to make it look like Mitt still has a chance to win? If people think the contest is over, they will be less likely to watch the news, vote, and participate.

Or is the Romney rebound more of a Pauline Kael disbelief from the liberal coasts who can't believe anyone wouldn't vote for Obama?

And one final point, talk about the soul patrol, Kid Rock supports Romney and the Republicans and Hollywood doesn't say anything. Stacey Dash, a young black actress, does the same and the black entertainment community goes after her with both barrels.

Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.

Or......the media needs to save it's credibility. I have quit watching local and national media.
I truly believe that the media has driven all of this and once the public got a chance to see things without a filter.....well, I think Americans are smarter than the media thinks they are......at least I hope so.

I think your cynicism is well-placed. They saw those Nielsens for the debate and decided to get on the revenue train.

There is a certain amount of disbelief - a good measure of that was to watch MSDNC during the debate. I saw veins on Chris Matthews' head that he probably didn't even know existed!

Don't kid yourself though - the media is all about entertainment, not information, and this is the reality show du jour, that's all.

I think you're missing the big picture. Romney is surging despite the media noise... he unveiled the real Obama that has been insulated for the last four years from any scrutiny. He's done everything possible to keep his hands clean including the health care bill that he handed off to the morons in congress. This statement should have been the first clue as to how Obama operates "After my election I have more flexibility" meaninng that he'll no longer have to worry about what the people think because he doesn't have to campaign for another four years.
Romney did a great job of exposing the empty suit... all those Obama attack ads were wasted.. too bad for for him.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

I find it interesting that many conservatives here have made it a point to seek out an opposing point of view after, for example, the debate. I routinely listen to 760 progressive talk radio. I really try to understand their point of view.

I think you are absolutely correct. Remove that media bias filter and what do you have?

 That's what was so great about the debate, there was zero media influence unlike other debates where the moderators seemed to talk as much as the candidates. Without tthe media shield, Obama is left to twist in the wind on his own... something he's not very comfortable doing.

lol Hey Lehrer helped Obuma out a couple of times and the Pres still blew it.

Debate is the best thing that happened. Got to see both w/o media spin.

IN NOVEMBER 2014, WE HAVE A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY TO CLEAN OUT THE ENTIRE HOUSE AND ONE-THIRD OF THE SENATE! DONT BLOW IT!

“When white man find land, Indians running it, no taxes, no debt, plenty buffalo, plenty beaver, clean water. Women did all the work, Medicine man free. Indian man spend all day hunting and fishing; all night having sex. Only whit man dumb enough to think he could improve system like that.” Indian Chief Two Eagles
