Chrysler VP To Trump: 'You're Full Of Sh*t'

DETROIT, Nov 1 (Reuters) - A Chrysler executive told Donald Trump in a Tweet on Thursday that the real estate executive and television personality was "full of shit" for repeating a notion that Chrysler is shipping U.S. Jeep production to China, which the automaker refutes.

Ralph Gilles, the head of product design for Chrysler, became the second top Chrysler executive in three days to strongly deny the claim, which was first made by Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney last week to a crowd in Ohio.

Trump, from his Twitter account, said, "Obama is a terrible negotiator. He bails out Chrysler and now Chrysler wants to send all Jeep manufacturing to China--and will!"

To which Gilles, from his Twitter account, responded to Trump: "You are full of shit!"

Protest too much? Now I am starting to wonder if Mitt was right and this China deal was going to happen. But once the public found out the idea was quickly shelved and violently denounced. It only makes sense for car makers to look for cheaper places to build product like how many US plants are in Mexico.

Chrysler/Fiat will be building Jeeps in China. They are building a factory in China in order to build and sell Jeeps in China and skip the import duties.

Chrysler does plan to launch Jeep production in China to supply the vehicles it plans to sell there.

“Jeep assembly lines will remain in operation in the United States and will constitute the backbone of the brand,” Marchionne said. “It is inaccurate to suggest anything different.”

LA Times

While it is true the Toledo Jeep plant isn't closing production of Jeeps will also begin in China. And I can't find the link but I understand Fiat will also be producing Jeeps in Italy.

..but...my biased sources...told me it is a lie.... Yes, I have never seen corporations backtrack on original plans especially when they become public. More gullible people here on the Left more concerned with slamming Romney. Now they trust corporations? when most of the time they call corporations liars and cheaters.

If you don't have the actual quote it's nothing but an Obama camp lie.

I would google it for you but can't copy/paste it very easily on my cell phone. Sorry if I assumed you were capable of doing that yourself. My bad.
