One big difference? Coal prices are much more stable, natural gas is all over the place. Easier for consumers to plan their heating budgets.
If Obama wins, expect him to go after natural gas next? One of his Hollywood supporters Matt Damon is about to release a anti-fracking movie. And I just read a anti-natural gas editorial in the Post yesterday, says in the long term, LNG is worse for the enviroment than coal.
