Gen. Petraeus is an American hero, serving this country proudly and is in large part is responsible to getting us out of the quagmire in Iraq. To smear this patriot by inferring that he would lie under oath is a grave disservice.

Just because he did a good job doesn't mean he didn't make mistakes and letting his biographer have classified documents was an error in judgement. Just like Team Obama letting Hollywood have access to the secret Osama raid info.
Argo had to wait decades to get their info unclassified.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
His mistakes do not indicate that this patriot would lie under oath as suggested. That he made mistakes is clear as he admitted in his public resignation. Whether or not he leaked classified information has yet to be proved, so I suggest that he be given the benefit of the doubt until such time as the allegations have been proven. He certainly deserves that.

I am aware of his prestige. My son was in the first campaign in Iraq where Petreaus implemented "the surge"
No one has held the Gen in higher regard than myself.
On the other hand......when the government has your life and liberty by the privates.....well....it is hard to say what you might be willing to do.
The stakes are at the highest level. The integrity, transparency and potential future of the Obama Administration is on the line.
Do you really think they are not going to play hard ball on this?
My hope.....he will tell the truth, no matter how it falls. I would hope he would do that for all the men and women who have died for this great nation.
I would love to believe in the General.....unfortunately....I have far less faith in my current government right now.
I am skeptical that he would have disclosed classified information to a civilian.
I do know that someone in that environment will be exposed to dribs, drabs, hints, observations that can be put together to make some informed guesses. Sometimes even the correct ones.
I was aware of what a SCIF was long before I had a need to know.
