Israel has launched raids into the Gaza Strip after a increase in rocket attacks on Tel Aviv and other locations, so I have added the Israeli Defense Forces and the Palestinian Hamas military branch to my Twitter feed. Interesting to follow the battles in almost real time, but you find a lot of contradiction between the two feeds. For example, Hamas claims to only be hitting military targets.

And just so you know it's not a cartoon, this photo is of a BBC journalist carrying the body of his dead son killed in an Israeli air strike.

So maybe the Palestinians knowing Israel can easily destroy them shouldn't shoot rockets into Tel Aviv?

It is like taking only a knife to a gunfight. Not real smart.

Update: Israel has started calling up reservists. This could escalate really fast. Calling up reservists is very costly and cripple the Israeli economy.
And it will be very interesting to see what Egypt chooses to do. Mubarak was much friendlier than the new goverment of the Muslim Brotherhood is.

A rocket from Gaza killed three Israeli civilians in the highest death toll from a rocket attack since Palestinian militants began firing homemade pipe bombs a decade ago.

And they've been doing that for decades... You have to wonder when the militants on the Palestinian side are going to "finally crack the code."? I keep thinking about my personal "First Law"...."Does it hurt when you do that?...Don't DO that..." As someone already pointed out, it's like the line from "The Untouchables": "They bring a knife--you bring a gun; they send one of yours to the hospital--you send one of theirs to the morgue."

I keep wondering what decade they will finally "get it"?

The key word here is militants.. Terrorists might be a better description.

Tell me how Palestinians can stop armed militants from firing into Israel?
When you hear the propaganda, remember this: Palestinians have no army, no navy, no airforce. There is no war, just genocide!

Stupidity is: Shooting rockets into Israel and then getting mad when they shoot back and kill one of your commanders. Der.
