"Our Constitution, which was intended to limit government power and abuse, has failed. We need an intellectual awakening. Without an intellectual awakening the turning point will be driven by economic law. " - Ron Paul

He is right and there are no signs that there is any intellectual awaking by the voting majority regarding the fact that government has way over-promised what it will actually be able to deliver.

Thanks Ron Paul, you tried but few listened. Good luck.

Because the Democrats have decided to ignore the Constitution doesn't mean it has failed.

No, it's failed because it's just as looney as the AynRandroid "I've got mine, screw you" sociopathic behavior he based it on. You tried to sell it again this time, and once again, there weren't enough people stupid enough to buy into it.

It has failed to stop the 'strong federl government' types in their efforts to violate it. That means it has failed. I guess it needed more 'teeth' to stop those with overly liberal interpretations of what 'general welfare' means.

God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty.... And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure. Jefferson.

Thank you Timothy McVeigh. That was his favorite quote and justification for the Oklahoma City bombing, which resulted in this:

Martin isn't the first conservative here to advocate violence

Who is advocating violence? Source please.

Archer you disappoint me, I used to think you were an intelligent person. The last few months of your posts have proved me wrong.
You are a follower and not a person that can stand on her own 2 feet. Just quote your hero's and make snarky snide remarks.

And by the way I am neither consverative, or liberal.

So you posted Jefferson's quote but don't agree with it.....or you posted it just to rile up people? or you posted it because you do believe in violence to achieve your goal? Which is it?

So sorry I disappointed you....when you and your friends here post nonsense then what you get back is snark (uh, what hero have I quoted?, please give me an example).......since the election not one single intelligent post has crossed this board from your "side".....just a lot of moaning and groaning, a bushel of sour grapes, and attack after attack on Obama and liberals. I get it that you are mad...angry....hurt....whatever....but sheesh, this is getting ridiculous. If you aren't a conservative, then you are doing a bang up job acting like one, and an extreme one at that.. Maybe you missed your calling and should be an actor, or maybe write fiction.
