Another Business Not to Patronize.

Or maybe not, it is possible somebody intent on doing harm will see the sign and decide not to risk entering the premises. rofllol

Considering they won't let me bring my dog in I'm already not a fan. I remember back in the late 1970s when chicken wings were treated like trash fish, you could buy pounds of them for almost nothing. These days people think nothing of forking over $20 + for a dozen wings and a couple of beers.

Save yourself a few bucks, next time you happen to be in your local grocery store, pick up a couple of packages of raw wings, butter, and a pint of your favorite hot sauce (Frank's is the original recipe). When you get home trim the wing tips off (or don't, you're the one who is going to eat them), fill your dutch oven 3/4's of the way with peanut oil and break out a large metal or glass bowl. Bring the oil to 400F and them fry the wings in small batches, 8-10 at a time for normal size wings, less if the wings are big. In the meanwhile melt the butter in a small pan and add an equal volume of your favorite hot sauce. It might take a few minutes more or less to get the wings done the way you like them but start checking after 8 minutes. When the wings are done to your liking drain them, add the butter/hot sauce combination to the large bowl and toss the wings in the sauce. Eat and enjoy!

Don't like hot? Try the above recipe with BBQ sauce, Hoisin sauce, or your favorite sauce instead. Add dry spices like Cayenne, black pepper, garlic salt, etc. to the wings before tossing in the sauce for even more variations.

I believe it is illegal to bring a dog into any establishment where food is prepared, with the exception of service dogs. Is your dog a service dog Otis? If that is a reason not to patronize a business, can we assume you never go out to dinner? Or lunch, or breakfast?

I get around just fine, I don't need a service dog (unless you consider the Wundermutt's endless capacity to listen to me talk no matter my mood). I eat more meals on the road in restaurants than I do at home most years, there are businesses I favor and others I avoid. Bottom line, $20+ for a dozen wings and two beers is over priced IMHO.

Before I hijacked the thread I think Grady's original point was that this chain bans firearms. I regard fire arms and dogs equally and I'm pro both.

I love dogs and have no problem with fire arms, I have 2 of each. But I believe a business owner has the right to decide if they are allowed in his/her own business.

I can't say I disagree, there are places where guns and dogs with irresponsible owners shouldn't go; in my mind that's everywhere.

I'll make sure I contact them and THANK them for being so CLEAR that guns are not allowed.

If they don't know it will not hurt them.

I wonder how they enforce it, pat down every customer? It seems like all bluster to me.

Going forward, when I want take out wings I'll shop local.
