The government is repaying it's debts to the trust fund. It is not borrowing to pay SS recipients, it is borrowing to pay the debts it incurred in borrowing from the SS Trust Fund. That you and your fellow conservatives would like to take away from those who paid into the system in order to provide greater tax cuts to the wealthy is reprehensible.
Once more, SS is not adding to the deficit. The borrowing of SS Trust Funds is what is adding to the deficit.

OK, one last chance, otherwise you are just a talking points robot. The factcheck.org article gives you very specific info as to how Social Security does contribute to the deficit now that the incoming revenue is less than the outgoing payments. Specifically, where are they wrong?
And you have no idea if I am a conservative or what my plan would be to fix Social Security, so you might as well just stop making it up.
All federal taxes collected do not cover SS, MC, MA and the interest on our debt on an annual basis.
That is why we have a deficit, we are spending over 50 years ahead. If you are less than 50, the federal govt has not had anything it has done in your entire lifetime covered. I think unless people understand how large our debt is, these fake discussions are meaningless.
We all need to pay higher taxes for just about ever to make up for what we already let happen. All incomes, even children.
