So let me see if I have this correct, conservatives are in an uproar that a pagan ritual intended to honor druid spirits during the winter solstice season is being called a "Holiday Tree" instead of a "Christmas Tree"?

Yup. He's not satisfied with calling the day Christmas. He wants everything surrounding it to be called Christmas, as if the Christian religion were the only one in the United States.
