VL, while we all appreciate the beautiful photos that you are posting, you are kind of cluttering up this thread with a lot of them. Would you mind terribly posting them in the Photo Blog Forum: <!-- l --><a class="postlink-local" href="

" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">viewforum.php?f=44<!-- l --> where we've encouraged our members to share things like this? It would be much appreciated!
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
Wait - WHAT? That's seriously f---ed up right there!
So you slip into a bed occupied by an 18-year-old sleeping woman and have sex with her, admitting that, as she becomes conscious, she thinks you're her boyfriend. It's dark. She's possibly drunk. When she realizes you're not her man, she pushes you away and screams. Or not.
Is it rape?
A California appeals court weighing the case against Julio Morales today essentially said ...
... no. Why? Because she wasn't married.Say what?
here's the money quote:
... If the woman had been married and the man had impersonated her husband, the answer would be yes.
And this time it's a woman spewing this crap. Really?
I find it sadly telling that the focus by some Republicans such as this lady, and Akins, is that pregnancy resulting from rape is supposedly the "worst" thing that can happen because that seems to be their main focus. Whatever happened to rape is:
a. illegal,
b. immoral,
c. a violent act no different from torture, and
d. devastating to the victim and we should be focusing on PREVENTING IT 100%, rather than "Well, at least she didn't get pregnant, so thank god only her life is damaged and she doesn't have the opportunity to get an abortion which is what we are actually against." WTF assholes? :bash
California GOP Leader: Pregnancies Resulting From Rape Are Rare Because ‘The Body Is Traumatized’
Celeste Greig, president of California Republican Assembly, the state’s oldest and largest GOP volunteer organization told The Bay Area News Group this week that pregnancies resulting from rape are rare “because it’s an act of violence, because the body is traumatized.”

There is apparently no limit to the depth of teabagger stupidity... And even better, there is apparently no limit to the depth of stupidity that is PROVEN before they "double-down" on it and prove their stupidity beyond any reasonable doubt and possible rescue.
