Meet with Michael Graves - One Last Time before Aug 10

29 Jul 2010 11:14 - 29 Jul 2010 18:20 #1 by Rubys Resale
Michael will be holding a meet and greet next week. No other candidates are invited as participants-but certainly are invited to be in the audience like everyone else.

This is our opportunity to focus on strictly the Sheriff's race. Ask Michael our pointed and direct questions on his philosophy regarding how a law enforcement agency should be run. What his plans are for Park County's law enforcement division etc.

We ask everyone up front to be respectful of each others points-of-view, allow each other to speak, give everyone an opportunity to get the information they would like.

When: Tuesday, August 3, 2010
Where: Park County Fairbarn
Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Best Regards,
Jo Ann Showalter

Please take a moment to read this personal letter from Michael Graves.

I want to take this opportunity to clarify that posts on this forum are not directly associated with my campaign. There is not a person in this county that has been authorized to speak on my behalf or in my stead.

I have been approached by some voters who have stated they will not be supporting me due to the many negative and derogatory posts on these forums. These statements are independent of me and of my campaign. Yes there are some serious issues that I see, with the PCSO, however other than those statements that I have uttered none of the others are mine in any way.

I recognize that emotions are running very high in this campaign and those most passionate have found a place to vent their discontent with the PCSO. Whether this venting is legitimate or not is not for me to judge. Everyone is entitled to express their opinions on a public forum.

Having made this statement, in venting your discontent you should remember to be respectful of others that do not share your point of view or even your philosophy. It would also behoove you all on both sides of this campaign to only speak or post factual information. Your freedom of speech does not insulate you from libel or slander either giving or receiving it.

For those who support me I am so grateful to you for your hard work and dedication and yes your passion. For those of you who are still undecided please take the time to filter the passion and look at the facts I have presented in various venues and judge me based on my ability and past performance as a law enforcement officer. My desire is only to bring a “higher standard” of law enforcement to our community and our county.

My hope is that all who read this first public comment from me will take it in the spirit that it is given.

Respectfully,
Michael Graves

P.S. I will be holding a:

mtntrekker-
There are actually a lot! For some reason they aren't posting them all on the website, but if you get a hard copy of the paper, there were actually so many this week that the letters are continued onto 2 pages near the back of the paper. There are a few for Fred, one from Monte Gore and one from Dan Muldoon, and there are I think at least 4 for Graves.

shilohloki ty. haven't had a chance to get a hard copy.

good personal letter by graves but really there are always going to be opinions, both positive and negative since that is what a website is for. i suppose he should also write a letter to the flume saying the same thing.

i could say something stupid like i am not going to vote for fred because keepthechange said negative idiot things. our opinions are just that, our opinions.

and my opinion is that we need professional leadership and that is why michael graves got my vote. and it looks like a few more from the neighborhood based on our canvassing.
