So James Yeager, the star of the youtube video post that went viral earlier this week has found out. Yeager, the CEO of Tactical Response, a Tennessee company that trains people in weapon and tactical skills, claimed in a video posted on YouTube and Facebook that he would "start killing people" if President Barack Obama decides to take executive action to pass further gun control policies.
Well the state of Tennessee has responded.
The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security announced today the suspension of James Yeager’s handgun carry permit after he was featured in a threatening YouTube video post that went viral earlier this week.
The decision to suspend Yeager’s handgun carry permit was based on a “material likelihood of risk of harm to the public” (TCA 39-17-1352).
Yeager, 42, of Camden, Tenn., allegedly claimed he would “start killing people” if the Obama administration took executive action to pass gun control measures.
“The number one priority for our department is to ensure the public’s safety. Mr. Yeager’s comments were irresponsible, dangerous, and deserved our immediate attention. Due to our concern, as well as that of law enforcement, his handgun permit was suspended immediately. We have notified Mr. Yeager about the suspension today via e-mail, and he will receive an official notification of his suspension through the mail,” Commissioner Bill Gibbons said.

Kind of reminds me of several individuals here who like to brag about what they would do if someone tries to take their guns, and those individuals who keep insisting they will "take" back their country from the "gubmint".

I bet this one goes to court. Wouldn't it have made more sense to give him a citation and have a court hearing?
And more than likely if Homeland Security tries to take individuals guns they will have a civil war. I don't think they want to go there. They, HS are stupid but not that stupid.

I suppose it would be better that those of use who believe in the 2nd Amendment just lay down and let Emperor Obama and his administration steam roll over anyone who might object to his view of how the world should be. Besides, why should any American Citizen believe that they have any constitutional rights? There is no more American way, now it's the way the Emperor says it will be.
