So you're saying he was more of a liberal.

And what about the 10 Commandments? Did God think delivering those to man would prevent those things from happening?

Raees, I really don't look at things in that liberal conservative dichotomy. If liberals are more peaceful, than yes, but I look at liberals as indirectly violent, but I am not claiming they ever really intend to be.

Something tells me that the 10 commandments would have functioned more like porn back in the day...."geee, I had never even thought of doing that.." tongue:

On another note, I do not think that you realize how offensive some of those pictures may be to groups that are in fact today, not violent at all (or perhaps only indirectly as I claim you and I are) and have recently, as I read here, come out in support of gun regs (the Catholic church). I do not have a religious thread in my body, but spend much time with those that do and respect them for who they are and in many way for their non-violence. This in itself compels me to respect them and not post pics like the ones in this thread. I am not sure if you have kids or perhaps an old mother, but imagine if I had posted a pic of either of them with a gun and my sense is that if they said it, they would say x1000.

Just to be clear LJ, I am not claiming this is a Christian nation, far from it. We have some christian roots, but our national religion of sorts is set by our laws, which you well know and work to influence in your own way.

I am also not claiming that catholics have traditionally be peaceful or nonviolent through time, though I do feel they are pretty peaceful today.

I am not sure if you were making fun of me just for respecting someone else's religion and what may offend them.

I guess in retrospect, if that did not offend some of the more christian religious types around here, I am not going to get worked up about it.

Peace.

Not to me.

I'm not here to provide you with an "offense-free" zone.

LJ, I was not trying to make it about me, you simply posted right after my post and sometimes you do not quote in your responses, I just thought you were talking to me, that's all.

I am trying to be nice. Though I also know you never asked me to be.

Only someone completely ignorant of the teachings of Our Lord Jesus Christ would see those images as anything other than perversions of his message.
