I think the respectful part should be pretty easy. We all know when we are pushing the line. Don't we? There might be some slop there because I am not here 24/7 and the more time late I arrive the less particular I might be, especially if the sun is shining.

On topic will be a little harder. I do not want to be brutal and I know some threads take a turn which can be irritating but seem to be fun for most.

To repeat myself, this is an experiment. I hope by the time it is warm enough to walk outside naked :VeryScared: I will be done. If anyone wants to take it over PM me with offers.

I'm excited to see how well this works. As you all know Blazer Bob is a huge fan of SiliconInvestor.com where he gets a lot of investing info (serious subjects) and they have many extra tools available to members who start threads. They've had long-running threads like we've tossed around that are conservative-only and liberal-only. I think if Blazer Bob explains it more himself you might get an idea of the experiment we'd like to try here; I was intrigued by all the things members can do there and how it's worked over the years for them. Blazer Bob and I have had many conversations over the past year+ about locked forums, moderating, etc and with all of the recent discussions on the forums here about how to make this place better, now seemed a good time to try something new.

Just like our Business Partners who control the content in their own paid space, this forum is subject to whatever Blazer Bob sees fit. As he explained it to me, he was looking for a place to put much of what he already posts (and maybe more economic stuff), and wanted to be kept more on-topic. He has my complete and absolute support as his intention is not to piss anyone off, but rather, to provide a place where more serious, thoughtful discussion can occur. Kind of like a more tightly run, focused Courthouse. Anything insulting or attacking, or not on-topic goes in the Bit Bucket, no matter what thread it comes from.

Did I get all that right Bob? Feel free to correct anything I messed up, or explain it better.

If I can collect enough cans and/or some free gubment money, I may grab the batton if nobody else does.
