This just looks bad–it looks like the White House is selling access,” Todd said Monday. “It’s the definition of selling access. If you believe money has a strangle hold over the entire political system this is ceding the moral high ground.”

What would President Obama say about this.....hmmmm

Talk about flip flopping. I feel like I am in the exorcist and my head is spinning.

I'm guessing Barry would say he "evolved" on the issue. The people who agree with him should have exclusive access and especially those who represent special interest groups, the rest of the population can get in line and pay for access if they want to be taken seriously.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus

The 1% are just greedy bastards, but they do deserve to have a louder voice if they want to pay for it. Got it.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Sure, all politicians do, this just is more blatant than most. Remember Bill Clinton pimping out the Lincoln Bedroom for big donations?

Even the super liberal New York Times thinks this is wrong.

All presidents have done it to an extent, but not all have been so hypocritical. He based his never ending campaigns on the rich having unfair advantages over the 99% and Obama was to ride in on his white horse and even the playing field. Now we see he's just a lying political hack who continues to get a pass from the poor sheep (litterally poor) who voted for him. Doesn't OWS care about what the 1% is getting away with in this situation?

Obama, the Robin Hood of our era, he pretends to rob from the rich, although wealth inequality has increased under his watch, and give to the poor. Even though he has increased food stamp spending to record levels. Maybe he needs to work instead of making the US more employer friendly? Nah, he will just play golf with Tiger Woods instead.

If you look at what the OWS has said on anything like this kind of matter, they decry Democrat involvement equally vociferously as Republican - it's right-wing extremists who try to twist the OWS movement to be pro-Democrat (or liberal)/anti-Republican (or conservative) - they are anything but. I haven't checked what they've said about this specifically, but I'd be surprised if they are for it or that they've let it slide because yes they do care.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
