You have accepted their language. Should a company be allowed to deduct R&D costs, especially in new drug research? Some people would call that corporate welfare.

Should people be allowed to deduct their mortgage costs? Doesn't sound very fair to people who rent.

Tax credits for leaving land in its natural state? Gov. Hickenlooper got a nice return for keeping some land undeveloped. Would you eliminate these too? What if it is a corporation owned by Ted Turner?

Deductions only for select businesses liberal politicians see fit to recieve . Just think of how many jobs would be lost and how much goods and services would increase in price if companies were not allowed to deduct business expenses. Not to mention new technology that would never be developed due to the high risk of no return.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

It is a tough nut to crack since both parties are on the take and design deductions and carve outs to benifit their contributors.

They should scrap it all and start over with things that make sense to everyone. They could call it the CPA unemployment tax reform act. Unfortunately with the current crowd the odds of that are between slim and none. Slim went AOWL.

I remember talking with a tax accountant decades ago and asked if he was worried that the latest, greatest, simplified tax code would hurt his business and he just laughed, he told me, every time Congress tells you it is making things easier, the tax code just gets more complicated and increases business.

I hope you know how condescending and insulting this is. Do you truly think that all the subsidies and tax breaks given to the banks, green energy companies, oil companies etc. are a better use of tax money than what the taxpayers themselves would do with them? I could say that you yourself are the one that has "accepted their language."

I wasn't supporting or rejecting the subsidies/tax breaks. I was just pointing some out. The world isn't black and white.

And this is a global economy. If you take away the corporate welfare will the companies move to countries that provide it?
