Yeah, that's why the Navy is saying: "Derided as the Little Crappy Ship by critics inside the Navy, the ship has been beset by troubles, including cracks and corrosion, and its price has doubled since 2005 to $440 million per vessel."

This happens a little too often. The LCS does look very space age but I thought it did look devoid of armament. A Spruce Goose for this generation?

I agree Deltamrey, what I am talking about is the delivered system did not work as required. It failed and they had to return to port early for repairs. They put these systems onboard and combat ship and should have had the parts onboard to do the repairs. As for what the contractors deliver, you and I and bob all know that it does always mean it will work, even if they swear it was made to specs. I know this all to well, as I was the E Div Maint Chief on the USS GEORGE WASHINGTON CVN 73. I was lucky enough to be the test platform for alot of new indicating systems that are normally analog, and they were switching all this over to digital. LCD panels. etc. I had the specs, I had the drawings. We deployed to the Gulf with new gear that was constantly giving us problems. We finally got it all fixed and the bugs worked out, but not a smooth transition. The only somewhat smooth transition I had was going from steam whistles, to electric whistles. Ships company did the whole job except the actual placement of the whistles on the mast platform.
