Not true at all. I'm sure that Rick agrees with his decision not to close Gitmo, that he agreed with the decision to take out bin Laden, that he agreed with his decision at the time to extend tax rate reductions for all Americans, and many of the other decisions he has made just as some of the collectivists have disagreed with many of his decisions and agreed with many others.
.
You're right PS and I even remarked about my agreement with those decisions that were unpopular with liberals. And we all know how much love archer had for Bush's decisions... sorry archer but it's true. And your right archer, we are on opposite sides of politics. But I think you know we have more important things in common.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
Without a doubt Obama is a WEAK President in the Foreign Policy area. Hil the slick #2 is weaker......we are paying the price in blood......as usual.
We forget (and our old, continunig enemies are well pleased) that the COLD WAR never ended.......we won on the surface but it continues. Recall The South Lost the US Civil War but won the reconstruction.....thus the Rust Belt and the SUN Belt USA C2013.
Obama will do little abuut Syria and less about Iran and North Korea......and we are helpless against bombers USA.....as we see in blood. Weak leaders brood agression in many forms......ask the Brits CIRCA 1935.......later 100,000,000 died because the West was weak and ill prepared......will we never learn and in each case we pay with our blood.
Tennent Bagley (from a very well known Navy Family ) was Chief CIA Counterintel wrote more than one excellent book addressing the Cold War and the operatives on both sides (KGB and CIA) and the current situation is well demonstrated by a comment by a senior KGB General a few years ago(Putin was a senior officer - still is - in the KGB) "Remember we are STILL working against you".....and both CHICOMS and Putin are in many, many ways.......not our friends. For them the Cold War never ended especially economically as we see in the Wallmart stores- ALL CHI goods........we also see the proxy wars in the Middle East and the nasty little flairings in North Korea and Iran. Chicoms fought in Korea......few Koreans BTW.....we lost brothers in that war we never finished because of weak political leaders.......and weak leaders caused the murder of 2,000,000 Cambodians after they (Congress) cut off funds after Viet Nam...... Americans are such fools......and the price has yet to be paid. God help America.

The United States and the world have many options on the table, none of them risk free. But the riskiest of all would be delaying a meaningful and forceful response.

That's up to the President, not us. And as far as we know (public information)... he's done nothing yet.
Duh. I think he is directly asking the posters here to give their opinion of what they think he should do. What is your opinion?
Here's mine.
I think if they are using chems and it can be proven, then we do nothing by ourselves but get the UN involved first. I am not interested in McCains plans which would have US troops in country or planes overhead by ourselves.

I don't have the proper information to make even a guess. How about you go first?
It is interesting that some here are ready to heap criticism on the President regardless of which direction he chooses, yet refuse to identify what they would have him do. What I would have him do? Review the facts closely and make the best decision on the interests of the American public. If a humanitarian intervention is necessary, then it should be a global action, not the US as the world's policeman.

You may want to contact him and suggest these things to him. And there is already humanitarian aid being given to the fleeing refugees and certain rebel groups. If you're expecting a knee-jerk reaction, then you had better look at someone else on 285 Bound. Drives you crazy when you can't bait someone into making uninformed remarks.
