Nathan Dunlap: Will Colorado Execute Him?

In any event, I think he'll die in August. You won't get much fussing from me about this specific case.

I'm not donating funds to any self-righteous anti-punishment advocate.

I'm not going to deny the governor my vote on the basis of his decision on this case (either way).

Evidently Dunlap won't be executed as long as Hickenlooper is governor. An indefinite reprieve, not clemency, at least for now.

The system has flaws our governor says. Given that the system is the result of the work of humans which are flawed, how is it possible for the system itself not to have any? Haven't I heard the refrain from the collectivist chorus that the perfect should not be the enemy of the good?

so are you advocating the intentional murder of a person?

I'm not sure the execution of Dunlap would be murder in the eyes of any reasonable thinker.....
(that doesn't mean that I support his execution - in fact - I don't ---- but execution of a convicted felon is not the same as murder).

I'm surprised the governor did that.

Obviously Obama does, but I guess a drone kill doesn't count as murder.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Wow.... Is there any subject we can discuss here that you won't find some way to bring Obama into it?

Back on topic, delaying the execution is a cop out....

It is a sad day when this Governor has more sympathy for a mass murder than that of the law abiding citizens of this great state.

One more reason to not re-elect the Hick? A Republican governor would put the perp down.

Yes. Just like Obama intentionally having bin Laden murdered, I would like to see this mass murderer killed as well.

Spare me your outrage archer, on this board alone, the left is still blaming Bush for most of America's problems and he's been out of office for 4+ years. That means we get to blame Obama for all his ineptness until at least 2020... just to be fair :woo hoo:

And you also know that there is no "on topic" rule here... just ask LJ.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
