I have never been in favor of closed investigative hearings, particularly when the testimony is then cherry picked for the public hearing to push a political agenda. I would prefer that all the information be made public so the testimony can be put into context. But the kabuki theater approach seems to be the mode of choice for some self professed "high information" voters.
