When you are "suitably outraged" about the lies, distortions, graft, crime, and dirty-tricks of the GO-Teabagger-Party, then we'll talk....

Lies? Jay Carney
Distortions? Obama & IRS apoligists.
Graft? IRS using goverment credit card for wine, fine dining, and porn.
(Didn't anyone tell the IRS porn is free now?)
Crime? IRS, refer to above.
Dirty Tricks? Refer to IRS again.

"They did it too"?....That's still the best you've got?

Funny thing, nobody, including the Inspectors, or the I.G. can seem to find any "crime" associated with the IRS flap... All we see is the daily crumbling of Issa's case and Issa's credibility. Let us know when you have something...

Darrell Issa's IRS Investigation Is Falling Apart

But after a burst of attention, Issa’s investigation appears to have stalled. Although he turned up embarrassing material—has any government official been humiliated quite like the IRS commissioner in the dorky video dressed up as Spock?—Issa hasn’t made the all-important connection to the White House. And he may not be able to. The news this week that he won’t release the full transcripts of his interviews with IRS officials—interviews he selectively quoted from to imply White House complicity—suggests that what they contain may in fact exonerate the administration of the very charge Issa is laboring so hard to prosecute.

“Your push to release entire transcripts from witness interviews while the investigation remains active was reckless and threatened to undermine the integrity of the committee’s investigation,” Issa wrote in response to a letter from his Democratic counterpart, Representative Elijah Cummings of Maryland, who himself had selectively quoted the transcripts and then called on Issa to publicize the whole thing.

Cummings has seen the transcripts and wouldn’t call for their release if they contained information that would fell his party’s president. Issa’s weak-tea defense of why he won’t comply—witnesses might be demoted or fired, he says—only buttresses this suspicion. So does the effort by Issa’s colleague, Representative Dave Camp of Michigan, to broaden the investigation’s scope to include donor audits. You don’t broaden an investigation if you’ve found the smoking gun and nailed the culprit.

Oh, you forgot to admit that the IRS is totally out of control and partisan. Instead you can only point at the missing White House link. Gotcha.
That is like being judged guilty on nine felonies but one felony results in a hung jury, still shows the IRS needs to be remade from the top down. Time for a special prosecutor.

And, as usual, our self professed "high information" value poster, Fred (never-link) Hayek, has NOTHING except talking-points you heard somewhere in the "Drudge" (or worse) echo-chamber...

Let us know when you have some FACTS, Fred....

That isn't a defense, it is just a whine. Because you don't have anything to disprove it.

I don't have to defend anything... YOU have to either make good on your charges, or shut up.

Fred... she plays you like a fiddle and you simply help her deflect from the actual thread topic... which is "Turns out IRS did single out Tea Party types" which TIG George clarified today. Why don't you get back on topic... or I'll have to agree with LJ on one observation "shut up." Your friend Walter.

That pretty much says it all. You do not care that the dems are taking us on a path to a tyrannical government because you think the r version would be worse.

Seems to me that "worse" should be a legitimate concern....or would you prefer "worse" because at least it would be a Republican tyrannical government? that was an odd post Bob.....
