Well I'm sure someone will find a way to make it racist...
A video released Wednesday shows American filmmaker and Vietnam veteran Oliver Stone telling a Tokyo audience that President Obama is a “snake” for “institutionalizing” illegal National Security Agency spy programs, the Blaze reported.
“Obama is a snake,” he told reporters earlier this week at the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Japan, eliciting laughter and applause. “He’s a snake. And we have to turn on him.
“It’s never about terrorists, it always becomes about the way J. Edgar Hoover did it,” he said. “He brought all the weight of government to bear against protestors. He didn’t like protestors. He thought they were left-wing communists. He never could find the proof, but by the time the Vietnam War came around, as you know, 500,000 people were on the list, and they were being eavesdropped on. And where are we now? Same place.”
Although this isn't as much of an outrage for me since I've felt this was happening for a long time anyway. But it is nice to see some liberals' Koolaid wearing off. lol

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Everything I've read says he enlisted in 1967 and requsested combat duty, received a bronze star and a Purple Heart. What does one have to do to qualify as a vet to you?

I have to admit that is news to me but I'll also say that what I knew of him from his Hollyweird work didn't compel me to want to know more about the man. It seems I may have misjudged Mr. Stone.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford
Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus
Towermonkey.....are you a vet .....how do you feel about vets.....you opened the discussion.....do you actually have a seat at the table ?? I will review Stones official record.....easily done.....and review the recently updated Stolen Valor Act.
You are the idiot who actually said that a decorated veteran was not a vet. All I did was point out your mistake. Enjoy your little private table asshat.
One of my fellow conservatives major mistakes is in refusing to accept facts that don't fit their worldview. It makes all of us look stupid. Not all veterans are conservatives, just as all Hollywood types aren't liberals. Just as many of us in the right were shocked and dismayed by the Bush administrations expansion of the deficit, many liberals are experiencing a similar reaction to Obamas embrace of the surveillance state. We all need to wake up and see that neither major party represents citizens any more. It is all about political nest-feathering.
I simply won't tolerate someone who thinks he can disparage a vet simply because he doesn't agree with them, not to mention anyone who doesn't fit into his club.
