For those who might be interested in watching all the NFL games on the internet (on computer, phone, or tablet) with the NFL Sunday Ticket, you can order the 25th anniversary edition of Madden at amazon.com.

For $40 extra ($99 total), amazon throws in the internet version of NFL Sunday Ticket with the Madden game for Xbox or PS3. I think the offer is exclusive to amazon.com. Sunday Ticket goes for about $200 or more on DirecTV unless you are a new subscriber in which case they throw it in for free the first year.

Nice to know you can keep "negotiating" Sunday Ticket with DirecTV. Surprising considering Dish doesn't even offer it so I don't know what DirecTV is trying to match.

But I've seen a few here post they have no TV at all, and I have Dish. So for me, and any with no TV, internet Sunday Ticket is just fine. But you need a 3 meg or faster connection for decent video.

The competition between DirecTV and Dish is funny, though, and it shows how much they need your business. I keep getting offers from DirecTV to pay up to $200 for me to switch from Dish (not that I'm anything special, I'm sure the offer goes to most).

I kind of like the Hopper DVR on Dish. And while DirecTV claims to be the king of sports TV, they aren't. Yes, they have NFL Sunday Ticket, but I'll be watching my college team on the Pack 12 network which DirecTV still doesn't offer.

There are also free ways to get Sunday Ticket on the internet which involves the fact that the NFL offers it free in some European country(ies). But I don't know the legalities of that, so I just ordered my Madden 25 game from Amazon with the added Sunday Ticket to keep it simple (I wanted the Madden game anyway but won't get it delivered until next week).

Then again, I can always switch back to DirecTV and free Sunday Ticket with the $200 offer, but I assume getting the refund will be a big hassle.

My only concern is that I get the Broncos games while away from home....and that I can do with DISH and their DISH Anywhere......I can watch any program on my home TV via the hopper with sling from anyplace I have internet access, or 3G/4G on my cell phone, then I can connect either the cell phone or the computer to an HD TV and get HD picture if I want tyo watch on a big screen. Dish gave us the whole Hopper setup for free when I told them if I couldn't get the Broncos on DISH on the road then I'd have to get DirecTV.

I also have the slingbox with Dish, but with our Centurylink DSL up here the upload speeds are pretty poor at about 700k. So if you watch that stream, even if you have super fast internet speed where you live, the quality of the video will be limited.

That's not HD, but it would probably look good on a small cell phone screen. On a large screen TV, or even a laptop, it is watchable, but pretty low quality. At least that is my experience.

The internet NFL Sunday Ticket supports download speeds up to 4.5 megs. That is very high quality on an HDTV if you have the download speed to support it.

Centurylink up here used to just be at 1.5 meg for downloads, which wasn't very good for video. Now many of us can get it at 7 meg or higher which is great for video.

It depends where you live up here regarding internet speed (or even having broadband internet from satellite). Down in Denver or other mid to large cities, internet speed is no issue I think...

And oh... Congrats to Vice Lord for being the first to get Madden 25! I just hope it runs on his Atari game player

We have four, XBOX 360 Consoles in the House, and pre orders for three of the New consoles coming out in Novembre.....(thats Spanish for November) And if you ask me, there are only two kinds of people on the earth: Those that have DirecTv and those that have the subferior Dish Network. Why in the world anybody would willingly have Dish over DirecTV is completely beyond me- It would be like prefering a regular 99 cent cake your wife makes out of a box to a Baskin Robbins Ice Cream cake or something..Then boldy proclaiming the Duncan Hines cake is better?

Oh and BTW

I have 2 Genie's with 8 "clients" throughout the house

Pineinthegrass.... We used the DISH anywhere on our last RV trip and found the picture to be excellent using a pc..... I have a modem dedicated to the hopper with an ethernet connection. How good the picture is has depended more on what kind of download speeds I get on the road than what my upload speed is here at home. 4G on my cell is lightyears better than 3g when no wifi is available. We're in Evergreen, the DSL is pretty good.
