Message to Colorado and all true Americans! Posted on "Recall John Morse" FB wall.

This gives me hope! :fwave:

This is what grassroots Colorado volunteers look like. There is not a single out-of-state Billionaire amongst us. One press person (wearing the red blazer) joined us at the Election Night Party just before the announcement that Morse conceded.

This core group of rag-tag, grassroots volunteers donated thousands of hours during the course of this campaign to recall Morse.

We collected signatures. We made signs. We made schedules. We walked door to door. We stood on street corners. We got kicked out of parking lots. We dealt with the police.

We stood in front of stores. We made phone calls. We held signs. We repaired signs broken from the wind. We talked to our neighbors and fellow constituents. We got out the vote. We got sun burned and wind burned. We got rained on. We got sore.

We put out yard signs and watched them disappear. We put out more. We got sign permits. We learned about Issue Committees and political rules. We got sued. We met the press and got misquoted. We met the press and got ignored. We ignored the press. We dealt with attorneys.

We brought our families along to teach them civics in action. We met people from all walks of life. We got given the finger. We got many more waves. We got smiles galore. We got thanked by many.

We met in parking lots and hoped it did not rain because we did not have a campaign headquarters until 3 weeks before the election. We literally ran this campaign for 6 months out of the back of a truck, a van, and a car trunk. THAT is grassroots! That is the story the press will not tell. Morse has had an office from Day 1.

We are just some of the hundreds of volunteers who helped make this recall a reality. We are the ordinary folks who came together because a senator refused to LISTEN and pushed legislation upon us that was not wanted and had limited "debate."

We always believed this was possible. Now it has happened. We have become part of history. We have sent a message to Denver and DC that We the People are watching.

Yes, just a common group of people like those in this photo. If you saw us on the street, we look like ordinary folks because we are.

But we have put the politicians on notice that ordinary people are the ones who are their bosses. And bosses have the power to hire and to fire. We just got through firing an employee who did not listen to his bosses. We hope that the other employees will learn from his example.

LOL! If I had a daughter she would look like her! Well, she might be a brunette! I don't have daughters but I do have 2 exceptional sons who tower over me and call me mama. They make me so proud!

I take exception to what Putin wrote in his OpEd piece yesterday in the New York times, "And I would rather disagree with a case he made on American exceptionalism, stating that the United States’ policy is “what makes America different. It’s what makes us exceptional.” It is extremely dangerous to encourage people to see themselves as exceptional, whatever the motivation." Typical communist!

America is exceptional because of our revolutionary founding, our belief in the power of the people, our Constitution, our belief in liberty and equality, and the higher standard that we hold that government derives its power from the consent of its governed. :fwave:

Yawn...

And in other news...

One small step for man, one giant leap...for a frog!

Yes, that's a frog. Yes, that's NASA's LADEE spacecraft launch last week.

Officials confirmed that the frog is this photo is real and was captured in one of their photographs. The launchpad is surrounded by water and obviously took this critter by surprise. NASA reports that the fate of the frog is "uncertain."
